Elf Mineral Concealer

For a long time now, I have been using Bare Minerals for my every day skin routine. I have horrible acne scars that nothing seems to cover up, besides for the Bare Minerals. However, when I moved to a different state, I lost my job and was really low on money. I ordered some primer from Elf, and decided to try out their mineral makeup. For $5, I had nothing to loose.

Retail Price: Only $5 from eyeslipsface.com.
Pros: Works just as well, if not better than the Bare Minerals did! Great price. Nice packaging.
Cons: You might have to apply a liquid concealer under this one. I know some days I do. Does not come with brush, but I use my Bare Mineral's brush with it.

I would purchase this product again! FYI: Light is very light!

Product Rave: Tarte Park Avenue Princess Mineral Waterproof Matte Bronzer

Wowzas! That was one long title, but I hope it grabbed your attention! I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! It is seriously one of my all time favorite pieces of makeup! I will be purchasing this for a very, very long time! This product is a sister to the original formula, which delivers a lot of shimmer.

Retail Price: $29 at Sephora, but it is seriously worth every single penny!
Pros: Offers Tarte's skinvigorating technology to help soften and soothe skin. Has no shimmer to it, so it will look all natural. Delivers a gorgeous natural golden color. A little bit goes a long way! Very cute packaging!
Cons: I wish this bronzer came with a brush. I use it with my MAC 182 brush.

Laura Geller Creaseless Concealer

Do not waste your money on this product. It is not worth it, at all. I purchased it because I have a few eye shadows from Laura Geller, and love them! They are such great quality shadows, last all day (seriously, they stay on forever!), and are beautifully pigmented. I didn't bother doing any research on the concealer before I went shopping, but I sure wish I did. I have severe acne scars, and the women at the store told me this was the perfect product for me. Not.

Retail Price: I purchased this for $23 at Sephora.
Pros: Stays true to the color it is listed as. For example, light was really light. Had yellow undertones.
Cons: Comes in a tube with a brush attached. Not only is that a place for bacteria to collect, but it is extremely messy. Covers nothing, not even a freckle. Makes oily skin extremely dry looking. Cakey if you apply anything over it. Complete waste of money!

I would never buy this product again, and do not recommend this to anyone. The concealer I purchased from ELF did a better job than this one. Just goes to show that you sometimes do pay for the name, not the product! And also do your research before you buy makeup! ;)

Bath & Body Works: Forever Sunshine Triple Moisture Body Cream

Where shall I begin? Hmmm, I got this perfume back in June, and was in love! At first I didn't really like it, but my friend started wearing it and it reminded me a lot of the perfume I used religiously, Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture. So the next time I was at the mall, I picked up a bottle. I used it and the Vanilla Coconut every day this summer. I love it. But then I ran out! I went to B&BW and was told that it was only available in the summer. I was bummed! But last night, when I went to get my friends some Christmas gifts, my sister found it! I had a mini-heart attack in the store and let everyone know I loved this perfume! So this time, I bought a new bottle of perfume, and this lotion. It goes on like butter and does a fabulous job of hydrating your skin, and that is very good in this gross cold weather!

“a fresh blend of golden apricot, pink peonies, and a hint of praline that captures the romance of warm days that linger into cool autumn. Experience this fragrance whenever you crave the essence of summer”

Retail Price: $12 (Got it for free last night! Such a good sale going on!)
Pros: Dupe to Viva La Juicy by Juice Couture! Nice scent. Pretty packaging. Affordable. Very good at moisturizing!
Cons: None that I have come across right now!

I have, and plan on buying this product again and again for a long time!

REQUEST: Favorite Tanning Lotion

At the moment, I am currently using a 2011 Australian Gold tanning lotion. I purchased it at my salon on sale for $20 (wasn't looking to spend a lot for a tanning lotion!) and was so happy with the results. The lotion is called "Going Gaga" and comes in a gorgeous disco ball bottle. The smell is AMAZING and it has shimmer in it. This decedent dark bronzing lotion uses natural bronzers for deep, dark color with 20X power! It offers rejuvenating silver extract that provides antioxidants and cell-renewal properties for healthier looking skin. The Disco Shimmer creates an all-over glistening sheen.

Retail Price: Like I said, I bought this on sale for $20, but it will differ from salon to salon. If you know ahead of time that you will be tanning, it may be smart to purchase it online. I found it for $15 on various websites.
Pros: This lotion smells so good (Paparazzi Pink!). It works very well. Comes in a beautiful bottle. Gives you a nice, deep, natural tan. Affordable.
Cons: The shimmer is a little too much! I think it would be better if they held off on the shimmer, or offered a lotion that has less!

What products would you like to see?

LET US KNOW! :)

MAC Lipglass: Underage

I purchased this lipgloss at Nordstrom's this morning, and I love it! I have been looking for a lipgloss that really compliments my skin tone, and that is great for every day use. I was walking past the MAC counter and figured I would pick up a concealer brush, but I ended up seeing this gloss and fell in love!

Retail Price: Today, I got this gloss for $14, but have seen it for $17 for 4.8 grams
Pros: Gorgeous, everyday color that can be worn for special occasions. Has a little bit of shimmer, but not too much. Looks fantastic on any skin tone. Smells like vanilla.
Cons: Small tube. If you apply too much of it, it may make you look dead! Super sticky.

I would purchase this "lipglass" again! You just have to be careful to not over apply it, and you will fall in love!

Naturally Victoria's Secret Acai Berry & Magnolia Hydrating Body Lotion

Wow! I love this lotion! I had initially gotten it as part of a sale during my check out, and really only bought it because I liked the packaging and it was only $5! Since that day, I have re-bought  this lotion 5 times, and my sister is getting me a new one for Christmas. This lotion is said to protect and brighten your skin, whether it does that is beyond me! It has a sweet and flowery scent. It is on the thinner side for a hydrating lotion, and my skin soaks it up pretty fast! It does not leave a greasy feeling what so ever! It has shea butter, vitamin c and e, and 34 essential minerals for all day hydration!

Retail Price: $12 for 10.1 fl oz. (VS usually has awesome sales, and I'm sure you can get it on sale if you look hard enough. It is totally worth the twelve!)
Pros: Fabulous, light, pleasant fragrance. Smells fresh and juicy. Goes on nicely. Just enough hydration for your skin.
Cons: None! Love this lotion!

Who Are We?

Hello!
For many years now, I have had a true love for everything beauty, and I always wanted to make a channel on Youtube to review products, do tutorials, etc, but never really had the time to do so. I thought a blog would be a great idea because I love to write, and this could really be done on-the-go! Also if this blog is a success, I would love to start a channel!
So, on here I will be reviewing different beauty products that I use, or have bought in the past. I hope this blog is helpful to you guys! Thanks for stopping by! :)
